Signs of an Incompetent Teacher
Signs of an Incompetent Teacher:
Physical abuse of students (paddlings that leave bruises, etc.)
Verbal or emotional abuse (constant criticism, name-calling, telling students they will never amount to anything)
Cannot control their classroom (some noise may be necessary--but not pushing, shoving, paper wad throwing, etc.)
Unmotivated (lazy, sits at a desk most of the day)
Does not have a basic understanding of subject matter (Teachers are often assigned classes they are not certified to teach. But the teacher should be making an effort to learn the material before class.)
Many complaints have already been made (Few teachers make it through an entire career without some parents complaining. You truly can’t please everyone. But good solid teachers will have former students and parents who will praise their efforts. Incompetent teachers will have very few.).
